Abstract :
Considerable research centres on techniques for the fabrication of highly textured polycrystalline Bi-2212 tapes for high magnetic field applications at low temperatures. One established technique is the coating of silver or silver alloy substrates by superconducting paste, followed by wind-and-react processing of the tape. The influence of single-side and double-side screen printed coatings on residual stresses and critical currents of such superconducting coatings is described in this paper
