Abstract :
The training behavior of several kinds of half turn coils simulating the superconducting windings has been investigated to study the cause of instability of impregnated superconducting magnets. It was found that even the half turn coils showed the training and/or degradation. The disturbances due to cracking, debonding or friction could be identified in terms of AE analysis
