  • Abstract
    In a recent paper, Gabriel states that no simple or enlightening expression exists for the variance and bias of the normalized relay correlation estimator for independent pairs of Gaussian samples. In this note, approximate expressions for this variance and bias are derived which are both simple and agree with the empirical variances measured by Gabriel.
