Abstract :
Two-electrode laser diode in fiber-optic links with a microwave subcarrier is offered to use. The results of numerical analyses of the stability of such lasers in a low-signal approach are reported. The output characteristics continuity, and quasi-linearity conditions are defined. Microwave parameters and states of GaAs-AlGaAs gain-coupled two-electrode heterolaser developed for the microwave modulation operation are measured, and the results of measurements of transmission losses in a microwave fiber-optic link based on this laser are given,
