Abstract :
In this correspondence, several theoretical aspects of direct Fourier reconstruction in CAT as presented in [1]-[3] are revisited. Specifically, the following points are discussed: 1) a lack of appropriate references to analogous previous work in the theory of the proposed interpolation technique and its application in physics and engineering areas [1], 2) some extensions and remarks on well-known trigonometric interpolation formulas [1], [3], and 3) some ambiguities related to the optimality of the reconstruction technique and the exactness of the interpolation procedure [1].
