Abstract :
McCrady and Spence recently developed a general coefficient fabrication error model for sampled data filters which makes use of higher order moments of the perturbed frequency response. By using previous results on cumulants and moments of a random variable, we derive an algorithm to compute recursively the coefficients of the Fourier series of these moments. The algorithm avoids the cumbersome combinatorial approach and permits a systematic determination of statistics of the perturbed frequency response.
