Abstract
After the power of a turbine generator unit has been agreed, other factors to be considered include matching and relative dimensions. These are particulary important in the case of Bulb and Rim units. This paper shows how to combine the basic turbine and generator output equations in order to simplify preliminary design and project work. Detailed discussion and examples are given for the case of separate turbines and generators.
