Abstract :
This paper is a mathematical analysis of a doubly-fed wound rotor generator. It is a continuation of a previous paper, which applied the constraints of constant stator voltage and frequency to the circuit equations and obtained expressions for the currents and voltages in the machine. In this paper the previously derived variables are redefined as direct and quadrature components. In addition, the apparent (complex) power for both the rotor and the stator are derived in terms of these redefined components.
