Abstract :
The cable produced for the 1990 40-mm dipole program is described. The cable design parameters for the 50-mm dipole program are discussed, as well as portions of the SSC (Superconducting Super Collider) specification draft. Considerations leading to the final cable configuration and the results of preliminary trials are included. The first iteration of a strand mapping program to automate cable strand maps is introduced
