Computer based Barcoded Visual Inspection Program for ASME Section XI Class 1, 2, & 3 Supports

An ASME Section XI Visual Inspection Program encompasses many items that all must flow together smoothly: (1) list of personnel who will administer the program, (2) list of all class 1, 2, & 3 supports, (3) list of qualified inspectors, (4) list of questions that the inspectors will use when doing the visual inspection, and (5) some type of assurance that the inspection is being done correctly. There are several programs on the market that do some of the above functions; however, we could not locate one that had all of the above features. Our solution to this problem was to develop a Computer Based Barcoded Visual Inspection Program that encompassed all of the features listed.
