Abstract :
´Productivity´ is the word that is most used in this post-war period, to describe the manufacturers´ reaction to the problem of our national economy. Numerous delegations have visited other countries to study this problem; much discussion has taken place; and endless Reports have been issued on the subject. All this work is completely pointless, unless some appropriate action is taken. Mr. Woollard´s paper, first of all, allows us to coin the word ´Transfermatic´ to describe this form of production technique; and secondly, makes a powerful and decisive contribution to the solution of the practical and technical difficulties that are encountered in studying production developments.
