WARC-79 Decisions Affecting Radio Amateurs

The international and domestic U. S. preparations for WARC-79 on behalf of the Amateur and Amateur-Satellite services are described. A general description of the Amateur and Amateur-Satellite services is given. The significant Conference results affecting the two services are set forth, primarily from the perspective of the radio amateur in the United States. Allocations and related technical issues are discussed, as well as issues which are likely to be raised during domestic implementation of the Conference results and during future specialized Administrative Radio Conferences.
