Abstract
Using a Monte-Carlo analysis and measured propagation data, investigation has been conducted into whether the deployment of a multi-floor indoor DS-CDMA system is influenced by the use of successive interference cancellation. The results show that the cancellation of inter-cell interference influences the optimal system deployment strategy whereas the cancellation of intra-cell interference does not.
