Abstract
Connecting parallel generation to a distribution system may create a situation where, under fault conditions, existing components might be exposed to short-circuit values that would exceed their ratings. A description is given of alternate means of solving this problem. In particular, a unique application of a new two-cycle distribution class circuit breaker is discussed, together with the results of short-circuit testing
