Abstract :
Microdroplets that contain a mixture of highly scattering Intralipid-10%, with pigment extracted from biological tissues were used to observe the first laser action that exhibits well-defined lasing thresholds. The authors confirmed experimentally that the addition of the highly scattering Intralipid-10% can assist this bio-material laser action in the microdroplets, otherwise no laser emission was originally generated. The pigment was identified to be chlorophyll, included in the radish green leaves from the observed emission spectra
