Abstract :
We demonstrate all-optical limiting of a 160-Gb/s optical time-division-multiplexed signal by using spectrally filtered optical solitons. Signal input power tolerance for improving Q factors is 3.6 dB. Q factors after 230-km transmission were improved by 1.8 dB.
