Abstract
Injection mode selection of a TEA CO2 laser was studied for injection signals polarized nearly orthogonal to the TEA laser output polarization. Single-mode operation was evaluated in an attempt to observe an anomalous effect attributable to the injection signal´s polarization. The probabilities for single-mode operation were observed to be governed by the injection field component having minimum resonator loss.
