Abstract :
We present a systematic approach to the design of an observer for rotor position and velocity of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors without rotational transducers, in which the effects of both motor and filter dynamics are taken into full account. The proposed observer can be incorporated directly into the well-known high-frequency voltage injection methods.
