Abstract :
A new intermediate-capacity digital lightwave system has been developed using digital gate array technology, hermetically sealed optical hybrids, and decision feedback equalization of the lightwave fiber. This paper reviews the technical characteristics and design considerations of the Rockwell LTS-135 lightwave transmission system.
