  • Abstract
    To be helpful in developing Recommendations to support smart grid, the ITU-T Focus Group on Smart Grid has produced documents on use case, requirements, and architecture for smart grid from the ICT perspective. This article introduces key results in these documents, including concepts and objectives of smart grid, an architecture overview of smart grid, and functional models to accomplish smart grid functions. This article also discusses challenges for future standardization.
