Abstract :
In this letter, the design of a novel dual circularly polarized (CP) radiating element suited for frequency reuse system is presented. Along with very good circular symmetric radiation pattern, this element has axial ratio better than 0.7 dB over 6% bandwidth and isolation between the LCP and RCP ports, better than 20 dB over 13% band width at X-band. With end-launch configuration, this element is very compact and well suited for spherical phased-array antenna (SPAA) application.
