Abstract :
New formulations are introduced that are able to describe more accurately translinear mixed cells with eight bipolar transistors (i.e. with both PNPs and NPNs) consisting of four-transistor mixed loops and cascode stages. These general expressions can be used for all the various configurations of the cell. Their coefficients, which depend on the arrangement of the circuit, are calculated very easily. Two illustrative examples are also analysed to underline the suitability of the analysis
