Abstract :
An electromagnetic model of a class of waveguide diode mounts that incorporates a radial resonator with the diode arbitrarily positioned is derived. The model is tested through comparison of numerical and experimental results for the input impedance of the mount. The tests show good agreement between theory and experiment and indicate that the model may be especially useful in investigating the effects of an off-centered positioning of the diode
