Abstract :
The static hysteresis model which is based on Frohlich equations is extended to simulate the dynamic B-H behavior including hysteresis. In order to describe the dynamic model, the following conditions are required: the magnetizing curve, the relationship between Hc with Hm (or Bm) and Br with Bm (or Hm); and the fact that the flux trajectory will always pass through or head towards the previous-to-last reversal point. The parameters of the Frohlich equations are determined during the course of computation. The two examples used to illustrate the application of the model include transformer inrush currents with different switching angles and a demagnetizing process of a transformer.
