Abstract :
In this issue, editors Eyal de Lara and Keith Farkas review three services: one that lets subscribers use their cell phones to practice for tests, another that lets prospective home buyers use their cell phones to access information about real estate properties, and one that lets users share photos without requiring the photos´ recipients to have a computer or broadband Internet connection. They also discuss AirCell´s plans to offer high-speed broadband Internet access aboard commercial airplanes and review the Nike+iPod Sport Kit wireless system, a keyboard for Indic phonetic languages, microprocessor-based encryption for mobile devices, and a wall-socket thin-client PC.
