Abstract :
The acquisition problem for binary delay-lock loops is re-examined. Previous results obtained by Spilker and Gill on the maximum allowable search rate are shown to be in error. New results are given for the 2-¿ loop with video correlation and the 1-¿ loop with video and envelope correlation.
