Abstract
All chemical solution deposited coated conductors on ABADYSZ/SS tapes with critical current densities at 77 K of Jc = 1.8 MA / cm2 have been obtained. Superconducting YBCO films were grown by the trifluoroacetates route on top of metal organic deposited (Ce, Zr) O2 buffer layers. Planarity of the CZO layer is the key for the high quality growth of the TFAYBCO films reaching Jc (77 K, sf) = 5.2 MA / cm2. Granularity effects dominate Jc (H) at low fields while, at 77 K, for fields above 2 T, Jc of the coated conductor exhibits the same value as those obtained on single crystals.
