Abstract
Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) as the source of nonthermal plasma has attracted the attention of many researchers in the field of diesel exhaust-gas treatment. The authors have studied the DBD, particularly using the anodic porous alumina, which have many pores with nanometer-order diameter and high aspect ratio, as the dielectric barrier. In this paper, the plane-to-plane-type multilayer DBD using the anodic porous alumina barriers was tested in atmospheric-pressure air for its future development.
