Electromagnetic compatibility of radio telecommunications equipment

The paper gives an overview of the application of the electromagnetic compatibility directive to radiocommunications equipment, the interaction with the telecommunications terminal equipment and satellite Earth station equipment directives and some changes to the European regulation of EMC. It also describes the main features of the UK implementation of the EMC directive, with special reference to the procedures for EC-type examination in the UK, and summarises the position on the production of harmonised standards for radio equipment
