Abstract :
The most important feature of the Raman-gain spectrum is that the peak-gain wavelength only depends on the pump wavelength (fixed shift about 100 nm). Using this feature, a new optimal algorithm for multipump sources of a distributed fiber Raman amplifier is designed. The numerical analysis results show that the optimal algorithm is simple and effective.
