Abstract :
The attitude stability problem of a GYROLITE spacecraft is investigated by using modern control tools. It is shown that the spacecraft may have a stable attitude even in presence of unstable roots. The only requirement to guarantee this stability is that the sum of all the roots of the system characteristic equation must be negative.
