Department of Homeland Security Official to Discuss SECURE Partnerships at IEEE Homeland Security Conference [IEEE—USA]

Dr. Thomas A. Cellucci, the Department of Homeland Security´s Chief Commercialization Officer, located at the Science and Technology Directorate (DHS-S&T), was scheduled to discuss “Opportunities for the Private Sector” through the Department´s SECURE program during the 2009 IEEE International Conference on Technologies for Homeland Security (HST 09) at the Westin Waltham Boston Hotel, May 11–12, 2009. SECURE is an acronym for “System Efficacy through Commercialization, Utilization, Relevance and Evaluation.” The program seeks to foster partnerships between DHS and private companies to develop solutions that meet the needs of the Department´s operating components, first responders, and others, such as critical infrastructure/key resources owners and operators.
