Abstract
The recently developed group theory of geometrically uniform trellis-coded modulation (TCM) is applied to the case of multidimensional PSK signal constellations. A general algorithm to construct geometrically uniform partitions of signal constellations is described and applied to multidimensional PSK signals. Examples of application to TCM employing 3*8 PSK signalling are presented.
