Abstract :
A rooftop dish-antenna tracking system is designed. The power budget is given for the selection of appropriate motors and corresponding drives. A mathematical model of such a system is presented. The tracking system is realized practically with commercial PLC and display units. A Matlab-based tracking-system simulator is also developed.
