Abstract :
Three types of Ag sheathed (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox tapes were developed single core tape, multifilamentary one and Ag alloy sheathed one. Single core tape showed high Jc of 66,000 A/cm 2 at 77 K, 0 T. This was achieved by the increasing of density of the oxide core. High density of the oxide core resulted in highly oriented less second phase contained microstructure. 6 to 8,100 multifilamentary wires were successfully fabricated and showed better bending strain tolerance. AgMg alloy sheath instead of pure silver sheath increased 0.2% proof stress to 210 MPa with Jc of 10,000 A/cm2 at 77 K, 0 T
