Peter Kemmey memorial student scholarships

The 2014 EML student scholarships in honor of Dr. Peter J. Kemmey were awarded to Mr. Weiduo Zhao (Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China) and Mr. Matthew J. Siopis (Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia). The Peter Kemmey Memorial Student Scholarship recognizes outstanding students in electromagnetic technology. This scholarship was established as a tribute to the memory of the late Dr. Peter J. Kemmey, whose pioneering vision contributed to the broad electromagnetic launch (EML) initiative that began in the late 1970s and to the establishment of the international biennial EML Symposium.
