  • Abstract
    Microprocessor-based relaying systems are described, and technology involved in the measurement systems is explained. Estimation and control problems most affected by the real-time measurements are discussed. These include dynamic estimation and control, transient stability and related protection functions, and load shedding and restoration.<>
