Abstract :
Superconducting dipole magnets for accelerators have shown various quench current degradations and unexpected field disturbances even when they were fabricated with the same cables. Such degradations become harmful in terms of the stable operation of accelerators. The reasons for the degradations seem to be caused by AC losses due to coupling currents between strands and current sharing in Rutherford-type cables. To clarify the reasons, AC loss and current-sharing measurements were performed
