Abstract
A 9.38 T NMR/MRI spectrometer magnet with a 183 mm warm bore has been designed, built and tested. The field uniformity requirements are 0.6 ppm over 25 mm diameter, 2.0 ppm for 40 mm diameter and 12 ppm for 80 mm diameter. In order to assure the achievement of the field uniformity, a set of 18 superconducting shim coils was built. In addition, another set of 18 resistive shim coils was built to correct the diamagnetism of the specimen. The results of a performance test for these systems are described
