Abstract :
The rotation of a graphic display through an angle δ requires a large number of multiplies by sin δ and cos δ. The time required for these multiplies can be reduced an order of magnitude or more by the appropriate choice of δ. The values chosen depend upon the base r and the digits of accuracy d.
