Abstract :
THIS ISSUE of IEEE TRANSATIONS ON COMPUTERS is the sixth Special Issue devoted to the field of fault-tolerant computing [1]-[5], and it contains some of the new results on design, analysis and fault diagnosis of computing systems that are subject to faults. A more extensive collection of the contributions to this field can be found in the digests of the papers presented at the Annual International Conferences on Fault-Tolerant Computing and the previous special and regular issues of this journal [1]-[2]. The first five papers and the first three corresspondences of this issue are concerned with the design, analysis, and fault diagnosis of digital circuits, while the last five papers and the last corresspondence are concerned with the design analysis, and fault diagnosis of computing systems.
