Abstract :
This paper presents the implementation and optimization of Modified MUtiple Signal Classification algorithm for smart antenna systems. In this work proposed algorithm can be used for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of coherent signal sources with high resolution, high stability in real time which enhances the performance of DOA estimation. The proposed algorithm makes the accurate DOA estimation for less array elements and snapshots under low SNR. This reduces the computational complexity, enhances the system efficiency and makes it possible to use in performance driven communication system. This paper also presents the optimization of several parameters of proposed algorithm suitable for practical application.
