Abstract :
In this paper triple band U shape Slot Planar Inverted F antenna (PIFA) design using three shorting post is presented. The antenna is designed to be integrated in portable devices. The linearly polarized antenna exhibits good impedance matching, Omni directional radiation pattern and relatively high gain. Frequency ratio of 1.27, 2.11 have been achieved. A prototype has been designed, fabricated and tested. Good agreement has been obtained between numerical simulations & experimental results.
