Abstract :
In this study, a compact wideband slot antenna with band notch performance is designed. An M-shaped slot on the feed line increases the impedance bandwidth of the square slot antenna. A stop-band notch can be achieved by using two L-shaped protruded strip inside the square-ring stub. The designed slot antenna has a compact size of 20×20 mm, showing wideband characteristics in the frequency band of 4.4 to over 10.7 GHz with a band rejection performance in the frequency band of 5.0 to 5.4 GHz.
