Abstract :
In city downtown, parking problem are becoming more and more crucial due to limited parking spaces. This paper introduces a robust vehicle detection algorithm in parking lot based on wireless sensor network (WSN). In the algorithm, three-axis anisotropic magneto-resistive (AMR) sensor is used. The proposed algorithm is tested on a parking lot. The test results suggest that the proposed algorithm can effectively detect the vehicle parking with an accuracy of 99%.
