Abstract :
This demo paper introduces a system prototype of a wireless sensor and actuator network featuring multi-radio communication capability. In the considered prototype, nodes are equipped with three network interfaces: 6LoWPAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, aiming to strengthen system capacity in providing an elevated level of communication reliability, compared to single-radio systems, which is essential e.g. in manufacturing scenarios. This paper presents the system architecture highlighting the main mechanisms enabling multi-radio connectivity, as well as validation experiments showing system performance.
