Abstract :
A method based on a bounded real lemma is presented in the form of sufficient conditions for designing observer-based proper reduced-order H∞ compensators. The proposed compensators are shown to include the strictly proper full-order central H∞ compensators as a special class. A compensator design algorithm is included to illustrate the use of the proposed compensator design equations
