Abstract
This is a review of System-level Test and Validation of Hardware/Software Systems (edited by Matteo Sonza-Reorda, Zebo Peng, and Massimo Violante). The result of a European-Union-funded project: COTEST, Testability Support in a Co-design Environment, the book is composed of reports from several different research projects. The chapters´ average quality is very high, and the ones on high-level fault models and test generation are especially useful. Don´t expect to find the answers to the problem of effective system test here. That´s intractable, but anyone working in system test will find that this book moves the conversation along nicely.
