Abstract :
The International Convention Centre, Birmingham (ICCB) is intended for: international and national conferences (with 12 language interpretation), concerts, exhibitions, product launches, banquets, meetings, and for being a social centre for the people of Birmingham. The author describes the design constraints on the ICCB and outlines the main facilities. The author then describes the electricity supply to the ICCB including the HV distribution, LV distribution, and protection of the system. The author also describes the lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm system. Other services are briefly mentioned
