Abstract
There are many ways of communicating information in print and digital media. There are texts, there are numbers, and there are diagrams. All of these can be perceived as being inherently serious. However, expanses of text, numbers and diagrams may have some serious limitations. First of all, do they engage interest at first sight? Then, do they condense meaning? Finally, do they facilitate retention? The article explains just how important graphical representation is.
